Welcome to Nose Pop! We are so incredibly excited to officially launch our shop and this blog.
At Nose Pop, we believe that K9 scent work shouldn't just be functional; it should be fun. We specialize in designing and 3D-printing highly functional, vibrantly colored scent work gear that solves real problems for handlers while bringing a pop-art, retro aesthetic to your training bag. From our foundation items, like our Scent stacks and treat ports to our ultra-stealthy novelty hides, everything we create is built around our core philosophy: Train. Play. Bond.
The R&D Department: Meet Breck & Meatball
You can't have a dog sports brand without dogs, and we happen to have the best (and quirkiest) Quality Assurance team in the business.
First, there is Breck, our Alaskan Malamute. She is a dedicated competitor in dog sports and the primary inspiration behind a lot of our gear! For example, our vertical Pillar Treat-Port was designed specifically for her. Breck isn't the most treat-motivated dog, and typical angled training cones frustrated her to the point of opting out of searches. We needed a vessel that gave her comfortable, unrestrictive access to her reward so she could stay in the game—so we built one!
Then there is Meatball. He is Breck’s absolute soulmate, our frequent houseguest, and our all-time favorite "dog-in-law." In fact, his owners and us ended up becoming best friends purely because of Breck and Meatball's undeniable love for each other—we simply couldn't keep them apart! While Breck is all business, we are slowly working with Meatball to teach him how to be a dog. Left to his own devices, he would much rather just follow Breck around and roll happily in the grass, but his sniffing and hunting skills are steadily improving every day!
Together, they are the perfect testing duo. Whether Breck is testing the durability of a new target bucket for competition prep, or Meatball is helping us figure out how to engage a beginner dog in the scent game, they ensure every Nose Pop product is handler-approved and dog-loved.
